JRN undertook three separate Sub-contract packages on the Atlantic House 3-storey office block & associated six warehouse units. Their works consisted of external facade brick & blockwork, waterproofing rendering and general painting & decorating. Each of the packages were supervised personally by John Newark and we found both him, and all of his operatives, to be very proactive and professional in their approach. I used the services of JRN when I was managing the property of Pilgrim’s Friend’s Society in Bedford, Dorothea Court. As this was retirement housing, JRN was mindful of the residents in all their planning and safety arrangements, trying to inconvenience them as little as possible.
The owner, John Newark, was knowledgeable and thoroughly discussed all the requirements and specifications before quoting and proceeding with the work. The preparations were thorough, and every effort was made not to spill or have refuse lying around; the site was always kept clean.
The staff were well instructed and supervised, polite, and worked quietly according to their instructions. The work was usually completed within the allocated time frame (bar unusual weather, etc.). The invoicing was scheduled throughout the job on completion of specific benchmarks, which helped in our cash flow. At the end of the project, I was happy with the standard of work, as there were very few callbacks.
I would have no hesitation in recommending JRN, as John Newark was always accessible if there was a problem. The work was always executed in a very professional manner to a high standard.

I have been involved with JRN Ltd for the past 22 years, as my position as a premises manager for Swavesey Village College and Cambridge Multi Academy trust my task was to organise the summer projects and day to day maintenance of the colleges, after putting out a lot of tenders for work it was decided to take on JRN Building Services to carry out this works.
These works included every aspect of the building trade, there was a variety of works to be undertaken over the many colleges, these include day to day repairs and refurbishing toilet blocks to building a hairdressing salon plus many more projects.
All work was undertaken so professionally, they are clean and tidy wherever they work, being in a school environment they had to be, they could be left on their own to carry out the works and you know that you were going to get the professional job you require.
JRN came with the full package of sub- contractors, these included painters and decorators, plasterer’s plumbers ground workers electricians brick layers plus many more that is required for a complete build from start to finish. JRN is fully up to date with current building regulations and would not carry out any work he was not confident on.
As a college it was required to have all the nessacery paperwork in place to carry out any work on any of the sites, there was never a problem with this, all paperwork was in place and up to date.
I would have no objections in recommending JRN LTD to carrying out any project no matter how big all small, it would be done professionally within budget and on time.
